First jury member announced - Vesma Kontere McQuillan
The countdown for the application for Latvian Design Award has begun. Meantime as we’re waiting for the January 1st, we would like to introduce to award’’s this year’s international judges.
“A professor that I knew and had deep respect once said - the most important is not to create interesting things - the most important is to live interesting. It means to evaluate process higher than the result. Live the life as a process of a design.
In my opinion the most important in the context of this competition is not to evaluate the result, but to evaluate and understand the process. To live it. To understand the design as life and thus to understand the life through design.”
Vesma Kontere McQuillan
